WELCOME HOME SHELTER – PW’s mission project for March will be collecting needed items for the Welcome Home Shelter in Greensburg. The shelter offers temporary housing & support (for 30 to 60 days) to homeless families, single parent families, & single women. In order to help provide needed supplies for the shelter, we will gatherdish detergent, dishcloths, sponges, and adults' and children's Tylenol (acetaminophen). These items may be taken to Circle meetings or deposited in the PW basket outside the office by mid-April.
PILLOW CASE DRESSES- Little girls should have dresses - right? Many girls around the world don't have decent clothes to wear and there is a really easy way to help alleviate that problem. One way is by making Pillow Case Dresses. All you need is a pillow case, some elastic and double wide bias binding and about an hour of your time. If you're interested in making a dress or two, you will find instructions in the PW basket by the office. A sample dress and instructions are posted on the Mission bulletin board in the hallway next to the library.
LOIS RUTH CIRCLE is collecting yarn for making lap robes . We will accept any color, new or left-over yarn. Please give yarn to Lynn Gilligan or Frienda Edwards.
DIGNITY ROBES:We are continuing to cut and sew Dignity Robes for women who are receiving radiation treatments for breast cancer. There are kits and instructions in the PW baskets by the office. Completed robes can be left in these baskets too.
